Small Talk


Professor Timuel Black and his wife Zenobia are headed to D.C., tickets in hand, for the Inauguration. He's finally, at age 90, getting some of the recognition he deserves as an historian/educator/activist.

So, it turns out that union contracts aren't the "boogey-man" barriers to reforming high schools as they are being portrayed. This according to a new study from the University of Washington.

One of the best minds around, Mike Rose, does some reflecting on Politics and Knowledge.
