The struggle continues

Central Falls teachers and their supporters rallied in West Warwick on Thursday ahead of a meeting of Rhode Island's Board of Regents for Elementary and Secondary Education.

After Supt. Frances Gallo balked at the demonstration, a union official responded that the rally was about unity:

“This is about supporting teachers and students. Whenever teachers can get together to support each other and to support their students, I don’t think that should interfere with anything,“ said Jane Sessums, president of the Central Falls Teachers’ Union.
