(N.O.L.A.'s Times Picayune is my favorite newspaper--took a licking, & their journalists keep on ticking--they even ran some info on CPS that I hadn't seen anywhere in the Chicago papers.)T.G. Jindal's gone(his disapproval ratings in LA may have been lower than Rahm's & Rauner's)but, still, charter schools there (as here) get more than their piece of cake. Their SB 432 sounds like our SB 231 (which Stand on Children has endorsed--also backed by Advance IL, so one knows where all those "equalizer" monies are going to go, & it won't be to the real, established public schools).
